Dedicated GRA Now in the Lab

Dear Colleagues, 

The Linguistics Lab would like to announce that it now has a dedicated Graduate Research Assistant to aid you in your technical and experimental needs! The lab, located in Gilbert Hall room 120A, offers equipment and space to aid you in your linguistic research. Additionally, Austin Brailey-Jones can assist you with software and equipment issues related to your research endeavors. Software support includes help with Python and Praat with R support coming as the semester continues. The lab can also help you coordinate access to the Corpus Server as well as provide documentation on using it. Further resources and documentation will become available related to Praat and R script repositories, the GACRC, and DASS. During Spring 2022, the lab will be staffed during the following hours with regular drop-in hours for support. Equipment rentals can be arranged with Austin and collected during the posted hours.  

Spring Hours: 

Mondays: 9:00am – 4:00pm 

Wednesdays: 10:00am – 2:00pm 

Fridays: 2:00pm – 5:00pm 

 

Drop-in Hours: 

Mondays: 10:00am – 1:00pm 

Wednesdays: 10:00am – 12:30pm
